The Green Lantern is an old school, neighborhood bar and pizza parlor. Those of us who work here in our original Madison Heights location take pride in being part of a pizza parlor that's one of the very best anywhere. We invite you to make yourself at home and take-in a relaxed atmosphere where the walls are filled with sports memorabilia and old family photos… just like home. Making pizza is a family tradition that goes back 55 years when Thomas and Irene Vettraino bought an old farmhouse bar along with its green lantern. They passed along their savory pizza recipe to their daughter, Marlene, who is the present owner. She, along with everyone here, works hard to ensure that every pizza pie is a culinary delight made with love that leaves a lasting impression from the very first, mouth-watering bite. For generations folks have enjoyed our delicious pizza and the friendliness of an environment where most patrons are known by their first name.

Was busy, but staff working fast. Big antipasto salad, loaded with cheese and meats. Good pizza. My only suggestion is that when you have more than two people sharing an antipasto everybody at the table gets a piece of garlic bread and not just the two slices that came with the order.

Green Lantern Pizza is famous for being one of the best Pizzas in Metro Detroit, and after going here for the first time in years, I can still say they’re fame is well warranted! The pizza is very good! Some of the best in the area. Though this place is small, the wait times are pretty quick and the service is very fast. They also have very reasonably priced beers and side orders. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a true Detroit classic!

This is my favorite place for pizza at Madison Heights. I really enjoy large Round large pizza with pepperoni. This may sound like an average order with a hand cut all of their meats which I believe makes a pizza even better. Also the pepperonis are baby pepperonis which makes him even more scrumptious. I enjoy the atmosphere however it is a bit overcrowded due to the fact that they make such amazing food
